To tackle Climate Change, zero-emission fuels such as green hydrogen technology are being explored and developed. The demand and focus on green hydrogen technology have increased immensely. On January 4, 2023, the Union Cabinet approved the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The initial outlay for the Mission will be Rs. 19,744 crore for S.I.G.H.T programme, Pilot Projects, Research & Development and Skill Development. National Green Hydrogen Mission aims to turn India into a global hub for the Production, utilization and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives. Hydrogen is becoming the cleanest form of energy that would meet global demand while fulfilling climate action goals.

The Advanced Hydrogen Program is a comprehensive 101-day certification program intended for working professionals to provide Advanced and functional knowledge of green hydrogen as a future fuel. It is an online, self-study-based program supported by study materials, learning videos, directed and suggestive readings, and interactive one-on-one sessions with a Mentor/Coach. The student can complete the program at their own pace within the scheduled timeline of 101 days.

I do not know anything about Hydrogen, can I take this course?

Sure you can! This is an Advanced Program and it includes the basics of Hydrogen course and intended for audiences who wish to know more about hydrogen and its techno-commercial aspects. We also have coaches on board who are available for one-on-one sessions.

I am not from a technical background, can I pursue this course?  

Yes, you can as this is a foundation course. All of us wish to tackle climate change and achieve sustainable goals. Energy and other industries are moving away from fossil fuels to hydrogen and other cleaner energy sources. Be a part of this movement and directly or indirectly contribute to this shift. 

How long can I access the course?

You can access the course for 101 days from the date of your admission confirmation.

Is there a minimum qualification required for pursuing this course?

No minimum qualification is required. While all are welcome to enroll in the program, Certification is recommended for working professionals who wish to attain a comprehensive understanding of the Advance Hydrogen program. Having a graduate degree and work experience of at least three to eighteen years is preferable. In the case of a minor (who is less than eighteen years of age) who may be interested in widening their knowledge horizons by pursuing this program, IESD shall require a consent letter from their legal guardian/parent. However, we would not recommend this program for minors below 15 years of age.

How many times can I view each lesson and video?

You will have access to them for 101 days from the date of grant of admission and you can view them as many times as you desire. However, you have to complete each session and then only you will get access to the next session. However, you can access the preceding session modules.

After this course do I get a Certificate?

Yes, you will receive a certificate once you have completed all the sessions and evaluations successfully and everything is in order as per the defined terms and conditions.

  • Know about the characteristic properties of fuel hydrogen.
  • Familiarize themselves with infrastructural needs and requirements, understand the hazards of handling, storage, transportation etc.
  • Familiarize oneself with hydrogen’s potential as a clean future energy alternative in various sectors of the economy thereby reducing pollution and greenhouse gases.
  • Get exposure to the policy framework and in-field developments with examples and case studies and its business opportunities in the emerging scenario.
