Hydrogen Storage, Transportation and Distribution

60-Days Certification Program on Hydrogen Storage, Transportation and Distribution

IESD presents is a specialized web based training and certification program, designed for working professionals, entrepreneurs, consultants and students, interested in understanding of Hydrogen Storage, Transportation, Technologies and Economics.

Why this Program?

Few Reflection on the Subject.

  • Hydrogen will not reach the point of consumption unless it is stored after production and transported to the place of usage.
  • Containing hydrogen and moving hydrogen in any physical form present technological challenges by the very nature and properties of hydrogen.
  • Investment in hydrogen infrastructure is high and irreversible.
  • Safety and security occupy high place in the order of concerns.
  • Research, development and deployment under varied legislative framework and financing options are happening at different places in the world.

These are some of the relevant aspects which make this program unique. The program is therefore imperative for those who are interested or involved in any part of the hydrogen value chain.

The Program is useful for its knowledge, skill and application value. The Program content also provide glimpse into some real life projects that are underway at different parts of the world.

Overview

The development of a robust hydrogen ecosystem is critical for achieving carbon neutrality and mitigating climate change. However, significant investments in infrastructure, research, and development are required to make hydrogen a viable and cost-effective alternative to fossil fuels. Various countries have already started investing in the hydrogen economy, and several pilot projects are underway to explore the potential of hydrogen in various applications. Hydrogen can be used for industrial processes, heating buildings, and as a feedstock for the production of chemicals. Hence IESD is offering an advanced training and certification opportunity which dives deep into hydrogen storage techniques and distribution methods.

IESD’s Hydrogen Storage, Transportation and Distribution Program is designed by domain experts in the fields. The program is spaced over 60 days, that is enough to acquire knowledge on the subjects at the participant’s own pace. Enrolled participants shall be provided with a course completion certificate provided they have scored minimum 50% in the evaluation. The program is delivered through directed readings divided into 8 modules, followed by objective assessment and viva with the aid of Learning Management System (LMS).

Hydrogen can be stored and transported in various physical state through multi modal containers. Hydrogen can also be transported as a carrier, such as in the form of ammonia, methanol, or even water. This allows for easier and safer transport of hydrogen, as these carriers are less volatile and can be handled using existing infrastructure.

The enrolled participants are allotted mentors and coaches who can be approached on need basis for any technical guidance or discussion related to the program. The enrolled participants will be tested for their proficiency by the way of objective tests and viva.
